ALABC events in 2009
Prof. Detchko Pavlov and Dr. Plamen Nikolov attended the ALABC Technical Committee Meeting, Review of Effects of Carbon in the Negative Plate, 6 May 2009, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and the 2009 ALABC Members & Contractors Conference, 8-9 October 2009, London, UK, where they presented our progress reports on ALABC projects.

This conference was organized by the Indian Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology (SAEST) and the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI). In the focus of attention of ICEPS-2008 delegates was Prof. Pavlov’s invited lecture on the mechanism of action of active carbons added to the negative plates of lead-acid batteries on the charge-discharge processes of these batteries. Prof. Pavlov also acted as a chairman of one of the technical sessions of the conference. He was given the privilege to present awards to young scientists at the final valedictory ceremony. |

Our team was represented at this significant scientific event by Prof. Detchko Pavlov and our young colleague Plamen Nikolov. Prof. Pavlov contributed the lecture “Mechanism of action of active carbons on the processes that take place at the negative plates of lead-acid batteries” by D. Pavlov, T. Rogachev, P. Nikolov, G. Petkova.
